How does it feel

How does it feel to watch the war
From video clips from the ones you adore
Who run to their shelters night and day
Our grandchildren have no time to play

But they cower inside moldy places
With neighbors in pj’s with haggard faces
1PM, 3, 4:30 and 7
Definitely not even close to Heaven

When our enemies launch a brutal assault
Naturally it’s all going to be our fault
When we try to defend our right to exist
The nations rage “We can’t co-exist –

With people like you who care for the sick
And all who are weak for even a toothpick
Has more rights than the Beautiful Land”
Oh G-d, please deal Your upper hand!

We can’t wait to come home from the Galut
I’ll swim or plane jump with a parachute
There’s nothing like getting bombed with your friends
And family who’s love never ends

So carry us home as soon as You will
We’re willing to serve as the sirens shrill
Informing the nations to pray – we’re doing
But coming home is what we’re pursuing!
