Dream of Faces

Upon awakening from a dream of faces, the intensity of living in those days was nearly overwhelming. The faces were either etched in tremendous grief or gracefully clothed in joy with deep satisfaction. Other faces were frozen in fear and trauma from terror while still others wore judgment like a cape as they walked, hunched over, trembling in pain. My favorites were those whose demeanor provoked many to jealousy as their reflection of light radiated such beauty and peace within, even in the midst of tragic loss.

And then I heard, “From now on My children will be able to clearly see the destiny of many people written on their faces. From this each of you will know how to feed My sheep with words of comfort from Isaiah 40:1-5, healing from Isaiah 53:1-6, hope from Isaiah 54:1-7 and restoration from Isaiah 58:1-12.”

Under the big circus tent, some people desperately sought sleep in cages with lively monkeys, while others were held captive in the lion’s den.  The audience roared with delight at the death defying feats of wonder on the trapeze. However, the laughter was short lived upon entry of the brightly painted faces of clowns, whose silly antics revealed their feigned happiness, thus accentuating the utter agony of war.

Then the tent was taken down and everything was packed for a bus ride to the next stops along the circus route. At one point, I was thrown off the bus because the driver angrily accused me of talking with people about יהוה. But I knew that this was illegal, so I ran ahead to the next bus station. When I tried to enter the bus from there, the driver refused to let me enter and quickly drove off, leaving me in a cloud of dust. Unfazed, I ran ahead to the next bus stop, and while waiting there, I spoke with two police officers, one of whom was friendly and bald, and who offered to help me.

When the bus arrived at that stop, the officer came aboard and spoke firmly with the driver, thus distracting him so that I could enter the bus from the back and quietly take a seat.  The ploy worked and I was able to safely return home.
