Dream of a Flood
We decided to have a family day at the sea. The area was reminiscent of North Carolina with its rolling, green hills. The sun was shining through large, white fluffy clouds while far in the horizon was a dark edge on the clouds.
A man was selling treats which we almost bought for the kids until we noticed they were made of milk and meat. But even our religious family agreed to buy them because all the other stores were closed.
The boat store rented its last sailboats to us. As the rain fell and the wind picked up and we realized that none of us had experience sailing in storms, we returned the boats and moved into a shelter between the coast and the nearby hills. Many boats were still sailing on the sea and some family complained that we were missing the fun.
Then suddenly some of us heard a deep roar and felt a sinking pressure which we recognized as a sudden rise in the waves. I shouted over the roar to move to higher ground but some wanted to repack their bags. But I prepared to leave so they followed and we went outside into the pounding rainstorm, running for the cliffs, finding refuge in caves.
When the roar of waters increased, we ran up higher into a nearby mall, taking the stairs to the top floor. From the top we watched in horror as the waves crashed through the glass entrance and the waters rose to just below our level as we sang praises to our King. Suddenly the waters receded, leaving behind a trail of destruction the likes of which we’d never seen before.
Even after the storm had passed, the face of the sky and the waters seemed colder and more hard-hearted. But we knew that this wasn’t the Creator’s Sky and Waters, but the changes were due to a deep chasm that opened up in the ground from which distorted and modified beings were released.
Just before awakening, while pondering the procession of events in Matthew 24, I had a picture from Armenia of an old church that sits on the edge of a deep chasm.

1. This is clearly a warning dream. The floods of evil are rising so we need to be alert and pay attention to early warning signs from Heaven and also be watchmen who warn others lest blood be on our hands. Ezek.33
2. Exemptions for religious rules; as when David and his men ate consecrated bread. 1 Sam 21
3. “Come up here, and I’ll show you what must soon take place” Rev. 4
4. I wonder if He is calling us to come up higher through doors HE will show us that are open for protection and deeper revelation.
