Dream of The Response to the Dance

The land beneath responded to the rhythm and the sway of music never heard before. A deep groan of travail rose up like incense on the day that the Heavens responded to the earth, and the earth responded to the grain, the new wine and the oil, and they responded to Jezreel. It was a day when we were sown for Him in the land and He had a rich compassion on we who had not obtained compassion. And He said to us, “You are My people!” And we said, “You are our G-d!”

A tapestry of patchwork pieces of fabric came together, wildly stitched and woven, yet somehow artistically sound. Some patches were burnt while others severely discolored as if scarred, with no majesty nor attractive appearance. The footprints of the dance were despised and forsaken, full of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

Some of those who’d been held in bondage came out to see and remember how their captors made their already days of captivity complete. They entered into the rhythm of this new dance which had a way of gently tugging on the pieces of their shattered hearts, moving shards into position where they could safely be extracted during heart surgery in the field that was conducted by unseen hands. In awe they watched their own names skillfully engraved on the palms of His hands.

Then the dancers clothed in fine linen with festive ribbons of blue, purple and scarlet which moved in the wind, appeared with tissue to wipe away every tear shed by the people of the Land who at last began to open their eyes and enter into His glorious rest.

And in the distance I heard and saw the mountains of Jerusalem singing and even swaying with the dancers while the skies wept stars.
