Dream of Watching and Hiding
19.2.25

As the countless planes were landing, we could see the Alps in the distance, towering over the land and glistening in the sun. It was a beautiful scene but desperate times. We knew we could only take what was necessary to cross those mountains and flee to the other side and even then, safety wasn’t certain.

People split up into small groups and Richard rode his bike ahead of me because he couldn’t walk. First I hid in plain sight in the village, washing clothes with braided hair to blend in with the locals.

Later I hid in caves and Richard often checked on me. I drank from streams and found food along the way. Two very evil entities who resembled humans hunted us down as if it were a game.

At one point one of the heroes of the game was caught. At first he played dead and the two evil ones were furious, but then he came to life, winking and smiling, driving those two into a blind rage, which gave us time to flee.

But at last they caught us and took us to a nice restaurant with our grandchildren. But before we even sat down, I knew that our grandchildren were not really there, but safely hidden elsewhere. And I knew the food was not to be touched, except for the bread. I told Richard in Hebrew it’s forbidden to eat the food. One of the evil ones asked me to repeat what I said as he switched his computer brain over to Hebrew. But I told him something else and he just laughed. Everything was noticed, nothing was overlooked, except for the obvious. There were things we could see, but the things we couldn’t see became more real than ever and translation from one place to another became a necessity for survival.

When I awoke, I didn’t write down the dream, but as some dreams do, the thoughts lingered and played in my mind like a broken movie reel. Psalm 32:7 songs of deliverance also came to me and upon visiting the following verse, I was in awe of our G-d, whose eye is always upon us too!

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct שָׂכַל you and teach יָרָה you in the way which you should go; I will counsel יָעַץ you with My eye עַיִן upon you.

‎אַשְׂכִּֽילְךָ וְֽאֹורְךָ בְּדֶֽרֶךְ־זוּ תֵלֵךְ אִֽיעֲצָה עָלֶיךָ עֵינִֽי

‎שָׂכַל
to be prudent, be circumspect, wisely understand, prosper, teach

‎יָרָה
to throw, shoot arrows, cast, pour, teach

‎יָעַץ
to advise, consult, give counsel, purpose, devise, plan

‎עַיִן
physical eye, spring, fountain
